Final Journal - For this Journal I think I should talk about my over all experience at EASTERN not just this year but last year as well. I have had a fantastic time learning all the things that I have about networking and about computers in general. I learned how to trouble shoot problems that not only goes for computers but has expanded my mind in general. A huge part of what we do is thinking outside the box, how can you fix the problem? Problems are often not fixed in the way you would think, there is not always one set way to fix any set problem. Some problems will have multiple fixes and you will likely not know what any of those fixes are, you have to spend hours finding anyway to fix it. Other than trouble shooting I learned many things about computing in general. I learned how to be a network administrator for multiple operating along with obtaining my Linux Administrator Certification. I not only gained the knowledge required for these systems but also the hands-on ability. For the operating systems Linux and Novell I have done scenarios where I had to set up a network for a fake company. Doing hands-on projects like this gives a much greater level of understanding towards how the system works.
